Can I buy a roofed scooter for the USA?
I called a couple of motorcycle/scooter places around my area looking for a cool scooter. While in Thailand, I rode a scooter with a roof called The Adiva AD 200. It was a good riding scooter even though the reviews said it was the most unsafe cage of a scooter. However, I didn't mind it nor I cared. When calling the stores, they all told me the United States does NOT aloud scooters to be sold such as the Adiva AD 200. Even if I bought one, the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) will not aloud me to purchase a title or a licence plate for the scooter. The stores also told me, I can buy a Chinese Scooter with a roof, however the quality is horrible. So my question is, are there any scooters I can buy with a detectable roof on it that is legal to be purchased and driven in the USA? Also, IF were to buy a over sea scooter, how much can I get fined in the United States for driving one with the proper documents? Finally, how come they aloud crappy scooters from China to be bought in the United States? I am currently in Ohio For people who don't know, they are sold all over besides America......
