Motorcycle Riding Tips - Lube That Chain

Caring for your motorcycle chain won't just prolong its life; it will mean your bike will ride as smoothly as it should too.

Chain lubrication should be carried out roughly every 500km or so, so if you're a weekday commuter then simply make it part of your weekly maintenance schedule, while dirt bike riders should give it a once over each and every ride.

A well lubricated chain will ward off corrosion, run quieter and last longer, and it will prolong the life of your sprockets too, so it's well worth the effort. A variety of different brands of chain spray are available, but go for a wax-based type of spray - these tend to cling better, with more of the lubricant sticking to your chain, rather than all over your wheel and swingarm.

If you've got a road bike with a centrestand you'll find lubricating your chain takes seconds - simply put the bike on the centrestand on level ground, engage neutral and spin the wheel around while you spray a decent coating of lubricant onto your chain.

If you don't have a centrestand, like if you've got a sportsbike, you can always buy a race stand that performs the same job - you'll need one to easily and effectively adjust your chain anyway, and they're a help in motorcycle maintenance and cleaning in general, so whatever way you look at it it's a good investment. Similarly, dirt bike owners will need a dirt bike stand - these use a small amount of leverage to lift the bike up from under its engine.

And here's a motorcycle riding tip - if the chain is warm to begin with, ie you've been riding the bike for a few minutes to get some heat into it, you'll find a lot more of the chain lube will actually work its way into the links and stay there, as opposed to flying off within seconds after you've ridden off with a cold chain.

A lubricated chain will pay dividends in the long term, but there's more to keeping your chain happy than simply keeping it well lubed - a thorough clean every now and then also helps and often highlights any minor problems before they become major ones, while maintaining the correct chain tension is vital.

what do i do i fell in love with my friends with benefits?
About a year ago i meet this guy and at the time i had just gotten out of a breakup. I meet him at work and he walked in wanting to get a loan. well after the loan process he asked for my number and i gave it to him. We spoke on the phone for about a week and then went on two dates after that. Well on the first date we went out to eat and in the second we went bowling and he took me for a ride in his motorcycle. Well after the motorcycle ride we went to his house and he told me that he likes me and that if he wanted a relationship id be the perfect girl but that at the moment he doesnt want a relationship cause hes to bussy with work and school and he isnt ready to get emotionally involved again with someone. He said im letting u know this a head of time before we sleep together because if not id be messed up to tell u after wards. Well at that time i dont know what the hell i was thinking i agreed to it and so i slept with him. Well after that i would only hear from him like every 2mths and id go over to his house and do it and this went on for a damn year. well this past december i told him how i felt i told him the only reason i continued to be your friend with benefits was because i tought that with time u would change ur mind and want to be with me i told him i had feelings for him and that if he didnt want a realtionship with me then i didnt want to see him anymore. He then said im sorry i didnt know u felt like this but i cant be with u but we can be friends without benefits i told him no and that i was never gonna call him again. well 3 weeks passed by and he called me he said he wanted to c how i was and that he really wants to b friends and that he understands if i dont want the sex. so then that same night i saw him and he started to kiss up on me and i fell for it again and now im back at friends with benefits he told me he missed me alot i dont know what to do should i leave this guy?

Tatto quote idea help?
On my left forearm I have the quote "never ride faster than your guardian angel can fly" seeing as I am deeply into motorcycle riding. I need an idea for the right forearm or the outter forearm in my left. I want something that goes with the above quote. I've thought about a good side and a bad side but not sure. Any ideas?

So I went out on an amazing date with this guy and...?
I mean I actually got to meet his parents!! Dinner and a motorcycle ride so we get back to my place and we started to kiss I said I couldnt go threw with sex but he insisted he didnt want a one night but a relationship. So we did sleep together. Then the next day he texts me that we got to close! I'm so sad someone please slap some sense into me!
