How To Make Your Own Custom Lamp Shades And Bases
Can't find the perfect lamp or lamp shade? This article will give you a how-to on how to make your own, personalized lamp shades that will look great with any color scheme. Thanks to your own do-it-yourself mentality, your lamp will fit perfectly into any room of your choice.
Picking out the Shade
You can find lamp shades in any size or shape to use as a starting point for your do-it-yourself lamp. Squares shades, traditional circular shades, drum shades, etc - the lamp shade can truly be anything you desire. You can also choose glass shades and paint them, if you desire. Your best bet is to search Google Shopping for your chosen shape of lamp shade.
You probably never found the right color to begin with, which is probably how you've come to this article in the first place. So when you pick out a color for your, look for a white or cream color. This will work best when you apply the adhesive fabrics, which we'll talk about later.
Decorating your Lamp Shade
There are several options when it comes to adding color to your fabric. You can use fabric paints that will allow you to draw specific designs on your lamps, or you can find the ideal fabric to adhere directly to your lamp shade. Whichever you decide, there are thousands upon thousands of different fabric choices and you'll be sure to find exactly what you want. Check out your local fabric store (such as Joanne Fabrics, Hobby Lobby) or if you're decorating on a budget, check out your local Walmart. Many Walmart stores have a fabric and hobby section, so this is a great alternative to saving some dough when working on a do-it-yourself project.
After you've chosen your fabric, don't forget to get an adhesive tape or glue specifically for fabrics. I prefer Aleene's Flexible Stretchable Fabric Glue - it's generally priced between 2 dollars and 8 dollars, depending on size. You can find it online at Amazon.com for $3.99 or you can purchase it locally at any craft store.
If you want to add a bit of pizazz to your lamp, you can add tassels or trim to match your fabric. Again, this can be applied using the fabric glue and it will add a lot of jazz to your lamp.
Adding the Base
It's probably quite a bit easier to find the perfect base for your lamp than it is to find the perfect shade for your lamp. Here are a few tips for picking out the perfect base.
Check out your local Lowe's or Home Depot for lamp bases. You can find bases that are a plain ceramic that can be painted, or you can use a wrought iron base that can also be spray painted. Bases are just as flexible as shades and you can create any look.
Whatever you decide, you can make your lamp as unique as your room. It can be fun and funky, Victorian or contemporary - it's up to you!

How to make custom contact lenses?
I'm looking to make Ciel Phantomhive's cursed eye, because the only custom painted one I could find online was, erm, for lack of a better word - terrible, as well as extremely overpriced. So I'm wondering if there's anyone experienced that could tell me how to paint my own seal onto a regular non-prescription blue or purple contact lens, what kind of paint or dye to use, and what kind of brush... Everything I may need to know.

To sell or to keep? 2002 Honda Civic?
Alright so I bought a 2002 Civic. At first I thought it was a good car, it had alot of good accessories and cool stuff. But then more problems kept occuring. Now the car is three times as more reliable than when I got it, but some of the accessories that made it worth while do not work. For example, now it passes emmsions, it had 2 broken engine mounts and those are replaced now, I fixed the oil leak, and a few other stuff, the viper alarm system blew the ignition fuse, so I had to remove it. Alot of the accessories were wired from the viper alarm, like the T.V.s and strobes on the outside that made it look like a cop car. It still has LED light bars in the interior, custom interior, kenword touchscreen radio, sub, amp, and 2 speakers. Custom paint and rims and all that good stuff, short ram intake, megan racing exhaust and headers. The heart and soul of the car are good (engine, drivetrain, chasis), but the rest that isn't perfect. All the electronics and wiring might not be exactly right though. So I have the decision to make. I have already accepted the fact that there is no way in hell I will get 8.5k for it. So should I sell and just try and get what I can for it, or should I just cut my losses, try and fix the electrical bugs, and just fix it up into a decent car? What you think?

i don't know what to do..please help ?
I was trying to play some basketball at the rec center, but then i forgot my id card..I was on my way back to my car to get 10 $ and then i see this gorgeous girl who comes up to me and asked me if i live near Edison. She asked me if i could give her a ride home..so i said " sure why not "
( what are the odds to that !! strange place to found love indeed )
We share our hobbies and favorite games while in the car and from there on we decided to keep in contact and start hanging out.
So I've been hanging out with this really cute, very smart and gorgeous girl for 3 weeks. Everything was fine, we always talk on Skype, hanging out at the mall, watch movies and etc so then we decided to take it to the next step. we become close friend, but all of the sudden i get too attached to her. Im not sure if i'm ready because im the jealous type kind of guy.
She always tells me that she like our casual relationship, but the bad part of the story yet to happen.
So there is this guy who is also into her.. and he would practically do anything to win her heart ( he even gave her a dam car 1996 gt mustang with custom paint job ) :/ . at 1 point they decided to hang out and she didn't even tell me anything about it..and this happens twice.
Every time i ask her about it she would just say that its ok and don't be jealous ,but then 3 days ago i saw them hanging out together again..and I can't take this anymore.. i dont want jealousy to consume me so should i give her the non contact approach ? or should i just let them ? or maybe ditch her and move on.
1 thing for sure though that I'm already emotionally attached to her and i don't want her leave me =/
I've been busy with work and school so i have much less contact with her, and he practically free all day,,
am i about to losing someone yet again ?

Where can I find a pair of cheap high heels to custom paint?
I'm looking for a comfortable pair of closed-toe high heels (3-4 inches) to custom paint. I've done a couple of Google searches, and checked Amazon, but nothing seems quite right. I need size 7 wide, white canvas or leather, preferably under $50.
