Newbury Sandblasting And Paint Shop Review In Newbury, Ohio
I got to know the folks down at Newbury Sandblasting and Paint in Newbury, Ohio, over the years through the business I was working for back in the 1990's. Way back then I worked at a local water treatment equipment manufacturing company, and we subcontracted the sandblasting and paint work on the metal frames that our in house welding crew built. These guys impressed me with their professional and courteous manner in which they dealt with their customers! Occasionally we would be up against a tight deadline, and we would drive our items up to them, and we would get them them back the very next morning!
The quality of paint you will get when you entrust your vehicle to these guys will amaze you! They can also do light touch up welding, but would prefer to let you take the heavy duty welding to another shop that does just that kind of work. They want to specialize and focus on blasting and painting! Within their state of the art 26, 000 square foot heated facility, they utilize all types of blasting media, and they offer a wide variety of paint and process types. Newbury Sandblasting and Paint also performs work which adheres to various military specifications for blasting, paint, and adhesion. They have the capacity to blast and paint items up to 60 feet long, and up to 30, 000 pounds.
This is a very high technology outfit, and it is nothing like those national auto body painting chains which throw some paint at your car for a hundred bucks, at Newbury Sandblast and Paint you will always get a professional job at a reasonable price. For quality this good you should have to pay a lot more, but their prices are in line with the high quality product which they deliver. Newbury Sandblasting and Paint does an amazing job with blasting and painting classic cars and trucks! A friend of mine had his truck painted with the same epoxy paint we used on our custom steel frames, and the finish was just amazing! I would definitely take my classic car to these guys for an outstanding auto body blasting and paint job!
Their primary function is to offer many different sandblasting processes, and that coupled with their highly skilled auto body painting crew, these guys can give you a long lasting painted finish on almost anything you bring to them. some examples of items they regularly paint: cars, trucks, farm equipment, motorcycles, heavy equipment, outdoor furniture, signs, steel frames, antiques, steel tanks, plus much more! They use many different blast media to satisfy almost any substrate cleaning requirements. Plastic blast media would primarily be used on steel, but they also work with stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, steel, galvanized, nickel plated, and other exotic metals, basically you name it, and they will probably do it!
One area that they seem to shy away from is painting late model cars and trucks. They prefer to do more exotic works, while letting other shops which may specialize in fixing the dings and scratches on your ride, perform that kind of auto body repair. Don't get me wrong, they will blast and paint almost anything that you bring to them, but they prefer to specialize in custom and specialty works.
The staff at this local auto body business is great to work with, they are experts who don't mind sharing some of their knowledge with you. So please stop in and chat with them about your project ideas, and they can give you advice on exactly where to start!
if you visit their website you will see a photo of an epoxy painted blue steel frame which we had fabricated, then they blasted and painted it for us.

Once you get to know these guys, you will find that their quality of work is second to none. Thanks!

Does it devalue a motorcycle to paint it?
If your manufacturer doesn't offer the color you want, does it devalue your new motorcycle to paint it?
I've always been told that it seriously devalues cars to do so. So, I'm wondering if bikes are the same.
I've also heard that most custom painted motorcycles are painted to cover up the bike from being dropped, so people might be leery of buying a used painted bike. How would you prove that it was painted for vanity with no damage?
Thanks!

What airbrush brand and model would you reccomend for someone trying to learn how to paint motorcycles?
I am interested in teaching myself how to custom paint motorcycles. I have already bought several very good dvd's on the subject. What I have yet to find is which brand and type of airbrush is good for a beginner. How many do you recommend? I want good quality but can't afford to spend a fortune. Thanks.
I appreciate the answers I have received so far, but I need something more specific, like the particular model you recommend. Also some info on different types, such as gravity fed and such. Thanks

What are some good sites I can check out for a custom painted motorcycle helmet?
Getting my first bike, and at some point I'm wanting to get a custom painted helmet, I've looked for any forsale, a little bit anyways, in the way of what I want, but couldn't find anything. I'm thinking of doing something along the lines of the Boondock Saints movie.
