First Look At The 2010 Honda Fury, A Factory Custom Honda Chopper
On the heels of the Honda Rune, possibly one of the most forward-looking motorcycle designs of the 20th century, and the motorcycle no one thought Honda would build comes the 2010 Honda Fury, Honda's own take on a chopper for the masses. Clean, sculpted lines and bright, shiny engine make it seem like this Honda Chopper should come in Hot Wheels packaging at your local Toys 'R' Us rather than a Honda motorcycle dealership. Sadly, however, the 2010 Honda Fury won't quite carry the same price that a Hot Wheels car will.
Honda blessed the 2010 Honda Fury with its 1312cc 52 degree V-twin engine splashed with a healthy dollop of chrome. The engine features a single-pin crankshaft, dual balancers, and three valves per cylinder, as well as a single overhead camshaft. Fuel injection rather than carburation means no problems with startup regardless of how cold it is outside, ignition is digital with three-dimensional mapping and two spark plugs per cylinder, and the power is fed to the rear wheel via a shaft final drive, though a shaft drive which has been integrated into the design of the Honda Fury in such a way that it gives the appearance of being a swingarm rather than a bulky shaft drive unit, a clever disguise that drives the custom aspect of this Honda Chopper home.
A 45mm front fork on the 2010 Honda Fury gives four inches of travel at a rake of 38 degrees, while the rear is treated to a hardtail appearance thanks to a hidden single shock with adjustable rebound damping and 5-position spring preload. You'll get 3.7 inches of rear suspension travel out of the 2010 Honda Fury. The front brake is a single disc with twin piston caliper, while out back you'll find the same with a single piston caliper. The 2010 Honda Fury weighs in at 663 pounds ready to ride with full tank of fuel, oil, and coolant, and has a seat height of just 26.7 inches- enough for just about anyone to be comfortable in the saddle.
Available colors for the 2010 Honda Fury include Ultra Blue Metallic, Black, Metallic silver, Dark red metallic, and matte silver metallic. The likelihood, however, that the Honda Fury will end up custom painted by practically any owner who takes possession seems likely, however. Additionally, one cool aspect of the 2010 Honda Fury is the fact that the frame is actually painted to match- a nice touch that few motorcycle companies have been willing to do for under twenty grand. As for pricing, no word yet from Honda brass, but expect a range somewhere between $14K and $18K, as this custom Honda Chopper will no doubt be positioned high in the ranks of motorcycles being released as 2010 models. Check out any of the Cycleworld international motorcycle shows to catch a glimpse of the 2010 Honda Fury yourself, and think twice about shelling out $100K for that custom chopper you've been dreaming about- This one comes with a warranty.

Does it devalue a motorcycle to paint it?
If your manufacturer doesn't offer the color you want, does it devalue your new motorcycle to paint it?
I've always been told that it seriously devalues cars to do so. So, I'm wondering if bikes are the same.
I've also heard that most custom painted motorcycles are painted to cover up the bike from being dropped, so people might be leery of buying a used painted bike. How would you prove that it was painted for vanity with no damage?
Thanks!

What airbrush brand and model would you reccomend for someone trying to learn how to paint motorcycles?
I am interested in teaching myself how to custom paint motorcycles. I have already bought several very good dvd's on the subject. What I have yet to find is which brand and type of airbrush is good for a beginner. How many do you recommend? I want good quality but can't afford to spend a fortune. Thanks.
I appreciate the answers I have received so far, but I need something more specific, like the particular model you recommend. Also some info on different types, such as gravity fed and such. Thanks

What are some good sites I can check out for a custom painted motorcycle helmet?
Getting my first bike, and at some point I'm wanting to get a custom painted helmet, I've looked for any forsale, a little bit anyways, in the way of what I want, but couldn't find anything. I'm thinking of doing something along the lines of the Boondock Saints movie.
