These crystals alter their internal spacing when exposed to the electrical charge. Increasing the gaps between molecules modifies the wave-lengths of light which are absorbed and reflected. Does anyone have any idea what it takes to get into custom painting cars (airbrushing kind of stuff) ?
I?m trying to think of something that I would like to do for a career I have a steady hand and I?ve been painting with oils for a long time?I realize oils painting is nothing like airbrushing but the point for me saying that is that I have the patients it takes to do something like cars

How dangerous are metal flakes?
I've started using metal flakes to paint sculptures, the effects are excellent but since I think they may be made of aluminium now I'm wondering how dangerous they are? I'm using the same type as for custom painting cars etc but mixed with a polyurethane varnish made for that sort of thing. I wear the usual dust mask and gloves when handling the powders but how dangerous is the stuff when it's floating in the air? Plus are my sculptures safe to handle considering I'm putting three or more clear-coats on top of the mix to finish? I don't know much about the stuff except the finish is unbelievable! Thanks.

Custom Painted Car Dashboard?
Ok, i have a '95 mitsubishi eclipse that i'm tryin to customize. I have done little things here and there but am lacking the money to do the bodykit and exterior paint job. I saw some pics online of a custom painted interior like dashboard and doors etc. but I am wonderin how you would do that and will it look bad or chip? My interior is a dark blue now but i would love a black and white interior and think it would really up the look of my car from semi-stock to custom. Plz help me and any1 with experience or who did this would be awesome thanks! I researched it a bit online and saw that there is paint especially for this. I'm an expreienced painter and think i could pull it off but has anyone actually done this and it come out looking factory quality or better? Where can I go to learn automotive painting?
I'm 18 and I live in North Hollywood Ca. I want to learn to paint cars and maybe if i get good start custom painting cars. I hear about schools like WyoTech and a lot of people tell me it's a rip off. I have some what an experience with cars.
