Tips On How To Paint Your Car
Painting your car can extend your car's life and make it look better. Here are some tips on painting your old car. Painting a car is more challenging than just buying a spray can or two and spraying them on your car.
The first thing to do when you are starting on painting your car is choose the paint you want. I would suggest buying common premixed oil-based paint, an example would be Rustoleum. You do not need to purchase a custom style of paint you that needs to be mixed when you get decide it. This style of paint is much more expensive then the premixed ones. It is only for people who want to match a specific color of there car, or want a specific tint to their blend of paint. I would not suggest buying this kind do to the inability of ever finding the color again. Scratches can happen, and if you can get the same paint again, you can touch up your car easily. If you have an air compressor, and a paint gun, you can use a gallon, or a couple of pints in the can. If you do not have an air compressor, then you can try your best with aerosol cans of paint.
Now that you have chosen your paint, set aside a day, or, even two, to paint your car.
Once the day to paint arrives, you need to sand the original paint. It would be best to remove as much paint as possible, but getting it rough so that the new paint will stick to it will be sufficient. Now wash it and let it dry. Then get out the masking tape and newspaper. Use the masking tape to tape around your windows, chrome, and everything you do not want to get paint on. Then tape to hold the newspaper over the windows, mirrors, and every thing that you need to protect from the paint. You should never assume that paint won't spread into an area, trust me it will. You will also want to pick up a can of primer to paint your car with first; otherwise you will not be able to get the paint to stick onto the car as well.
Now that your car is ready to be painted start with the primer, make sure you get all the corners, and then wait the recommended time, before covering it with the new paint. Do not get to close when painting, because it will turn into ugly droplets.

Custom car painting?
My uncle had recently painted his car, and he asked me for ideas, I told him to put Fuck (Fook) on his car, AND HE DID!
Is there any chance of him getting stopped by the police for this?

Custom Car painting?
I am going to be able to drive soon, and I will get the hand-me-down car my brother also had: a 1992 volvo station wagon. Pretty sad, huh? Anyway, I asked my dad (as a joke at first) if I could have it custom painted because it is so old, and he said yes and he would pay for it, i guess even he feels bad for me. I was wondering what I should get on my car, and how expensive this would be. If you have any pictures of any design, please include them, but descriptions are fine too. Thanks a lot!!!!! I hope he was serious about me being able to do this. (I'm in highschool, so nothing too weird please)
I have talked to my dad about a new car, but I don't think that is going to happen. We weren't going to do anything fancy, so it hopefully wouldn't cost that much. Plus my gym teacher works with cars and shows them, so we were hoping we could get a good price with his help (my family and him are friends)
