Two-Tone Paint Job Tips For Your Car

A two-tone auto paint job not only makes a car look good, it also adds a personalized touch to a car. Although two-toned paint jobs for a car can be expensive, the truth is that you can get one done fairly inexpensively. If you've decided to get a two-tone color scheme on your car, then make sure you keep these tips in mind.

Choose the Color Scheme

Once you've decided you want to get a two-tone auto paint job done on your car, but before you go into the shop, pick out the color scheme. When choosing the color scheme for your two-toned pain job, go to car dealerships and car shows. Also look through car magazines such as Hot Rod Magazine and Low Rider Magazine. Even if you don't have a low rider, hot rod or even a classic car, looking at other cars will help you determine what you do and don't like. Make sure that you choose colors which you think would look good together.

Choose the Paint

Once you've decided on a color scheme for your two-toned paint job, choose the paint. Car paint comes in many colors and prizes. If you choose a glossy, vibrant colored paint, like a glossy red, then be prepared to have to pay a little more than if you've chosen a base color such as white or cream. Also, once you've chosen the color scheme, look to see if those colors are available as standard colors on other cars. For example, if you choose a color scheme based on a Volkswagen car which you saw at a dealership, then it is likely that you can get those colors from Volkswagen at a comparatively lower cost than if you had to have the colors custom mixed for you.

Hire a Professional

Finally, when it comes down to actually getting the job done, hire a professional to do it for you. First of all, two-toned paint jobs on a car are not easy to pull off. It requires a lot of experience to make the paint job look good. Second, a professional, working out of a well equipped shop will have all the tools available to him so that your two-toned paint job is done right. Even if you are on a budget, it is likely that you can find a professional who can do the job for you at a reasonable price.

How much does a custom paint job for a car cost?
Also How long does it take to complete one painting? How would I go about changing it quickly? (Say for a "Flavor" of the week display...) see this website for examples of paint jobs http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images?_adv_prop=image&fr=yfp-t-471-s&va=custom+car+paint+jobs&sz= I'm wondering because my friend's room mate does this and we're all wondering if it's as cheap as he says or if he's actually a bit clueless on money.

Okay, so I want to have my car painted, right? Somewhere in Utah. I want to get the whole thing blue (right now it's just white) and then have a big superman symbol in the front of it, it's a mini-van (yes, i am one weird teenager). . Okay, so my questions are: Where could I get it done? How much would it cost? Thank you so much! :)
