Harley-Davidson Sportster - My First Motorcycle

The best vehicle I have ever owned was my Harley-Davidson Sportster. It was my first motorcycle and the first thing I ever really felt the desire to work hard for. Over three years of monthly payments and over three years this motorcycle was my only means of transportation. Being here in central Florida with the drastic weather changes made having just a motorcycle can sure test your determination at times.

When on a motorcycle in the weather, the only option is just to weather it, well, that sure is true and that is what has taught me determination over the years. I was in a situation that made even bringing home a gallon of milk a daunting task. During the Florida hurricanes and tropical storms being at work on time was still necessary. I had much more pride in being to work on time because of the difficulties but even so the hardships of owning solely a motorcycle are far out weighed by that feeling of freedom you get every time you pull your vehicle out your front driveway.

Life lessons are only a small part of the reason I loved that bike. It got great mileage and I never had to help anyone move. Even better when the girl I liked needed a ride somewhere I no longer needed an excuse I had a good solid reason to have her hold me close.

Even though these reasons alone are enough for me to love that bike another strong factor is my family. I grew up in a family of bikers, almost everyone old enough to get a drivers license with a motorcycle endorsement had one. There is such a great sense of comradeship when you have your whole family each on their own motorcycle. These motorcycles being worked on together by families and being custom fitted until the bikes become extensions of their riders. It is an amazing thing to feel.

My Harley-Davidon Sportster was my favorite vehicle because it is what gave me my first chance to feel that freedom of driving down the road with the wind in my hair, and it is what allowed me to join in that family camaraderie for the first time in my life. Something that until I got that first motorcycle all I could do was stand back, watch, and imagine what it must feel like.

What is the best first motorcycle?
Im 16 years old, and have only ridden a dirtbike. Is a cbr600F4i a good starter bike. most people say im stupid when i want a 600cc for my first bike, but if i take it slow and ride safe is it still a good learner. im sure everyone says this but im cordinated and am a good driver of all vehicles.

Hey I'm 21 going on 22.....I've always wanted to get a motorcycle and learn to ride....my best friend has been riding forever....he told me a good first bike would be a Honda CBR 600 because I'm 6'0 and 190....he said I would feel too cramped on a 250....I'm planning on taking the MSF course before getting the bike and buying full gear....I'm not a squid I value my life and I'm not going to ride stupid or go 120 on city streets.....I just want an honest opinion on what bike to get....PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!!

I might be getting a motorcycle but I don't know alot about them. I was just wondering what would be a nice first bike. I don't want anything too beginner because I will learn fast and in a couple months be like "WTF did I buy this?!" I was something thts still nice. sportsbike btw:D please help me. thankyouu(:
