How To Be A Total Rock/Tough Chick
1. The Attitude
You can't be a rocker chick without the attitude. Now, stand up straight. Chin up. And walk like you own it. Wait, stop, don't walk a catwalk just walk the way you normally do except with a little more...BAM! into it. Make your attitude tough and bold.
You also need to have a care-free-I-don't-give-a-damn attitude. Be adventurous. Try one thing that scares you everyday and slowly you'll become a tough chick. Remember just because you're being rebellious now, that doesn't mean you can cuss your teachers and parents. Give respect to the grown-ups because they raised you as a kid and it's only proper that your respect them in return.
2. The Clothes
You need LEATHER! Lots and lots of leather. But if leather not your thing then it's cool, you can always find your own unique style. I can't dictate to you what you're suppose to wear. Anyway, get at least one good leather jacket. A leather jacket always toughens up even the most girly of dresses. Get some dark denim (Boot cut, Straight leg, skinny, i don't give a damn...just get a good pair of denim and lots of it) You can even distress your old denim by using bleach, knife, and cheese grater. It'll look totally rockin'! www.wikihow.com/Make-Distressed-Jeans
For shirts, you can whatever you want. The crazier the shirt the better. But when it doubt, always wear black (Haha!) Graphic tees are the best. You also need a black or a denim vest and some pins to put onto it. The pins makes it more punk. www.rockmerch.com/Rock-Music-Pins_c_5696.html
Here's a tip for you rocker chicks: If you're petite, wear something on the knee level and bootcut jeans are very flattering to petite women. If you're tall, you could get away with wearing longer dresses.
For shoes, anything you want. You can wear black heels or just plain old sneakers. The main rule with sneakers is: The dirtier, the better! (Haha!) Heels make you look super sexy but I know (admit it, ladies...) you're feet will hurt after five minutes of walking in them. Personally, I just wear sneakers and when the occasion comes, I would wear heels.
I live in a tropical country so I don't know much about boots but I say leather studded boots all the way! Ankle boots are also nice paired with black leggings. Black knee high boots is also good.
3. Accessories
Everybody needs a watch. If you're a student like me, you need a watch to make sure you get to class on time. There are really cool watches out there. You also need some cool belts, buckles, and wristbands. www.accessthatrock.com/Index.html
And don't forget the aviator shades, it looks cool with a leather jacket on rbaviatorshades.com/ Don't worry, you can always find cheaper aviator shades in flee markets and bazaars.
4. Make-Up
Make-up isn't really my type of thing. Every woman has a different taste in make-up. Some like light make-up, some like thick. Well, either way, let's just say that basic rocker chick make-up is the smokey eye. Here's a complete instruction on how to create a perfect smokey eye: www.ehow.com/how_4554926_perfect-smokey-eye.html
If you wanna do the famous red lips of the Australian electro-pop band Veronica's, I suggest you stay away from the smokey eye. You don't want to do too much. Here's a wikihow of Jess from the Veronicas: www.wikihow.com/Look-Like-Jess-from-the-Veronicas
5. Tattoo or Body Art
Ok, this might sound scary to some people. If you truly want to get a tattoo then go ahead. Getting a tattoo is a great and freeing experience. If you're concerned that it's permanent, you can always get a henna tattoo which will only last for a two weeks or an airbrush tattoo which you can erase using baby oil and isopropyl alcohol.
6. Get a Ride
Motorcycles are fast and furious but they can also be dangerous. For safety precautions, it's better to drive a car than a motorbike. Just make sure your car looks awesome. No one wants to ride a rusty old car from the junk shop!
REMEMBER: You're a free-spirit. No one makes decisions for you and you shouldn't give a damn about what other people say because you're a rockstar in your own right! This is just a guide to give you a head start. Have fun and keep on rockin'!
