The Associate Producer on this film "William L Hayward" was the brother-in-law of Dennis Hopper who had married his sister Brooke Hayward.
The writing credit is given to Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper and Terry Southern. This third person had worked on the screenplay for the Jane Fonda starring movie Barbarella (directed by her husband Roger Vadim). It was through this connection that he met Peter Fonda.
The plot follows Peter Fonda and buddy Dennis Hopper just after making a big cocaine sell, who decide to ride their motorcycles to Florida to retire. This movie chronicles their adventures along the way.

Why can't H-D bring this bike to the States?
The idea of owning an american bike really intrigues me you know? I mean i already support my troops probably more than anyone else on YA and I would really like to support my country in this time of economic hardship. But its hard when H-D doesn't make an appealing entry level bike that can compete not only in performance but also in price. I think H-D just needs to a whole mess of young minds in the brain storm room and really "think outside the box". Anyhow I have to admit I do like this bike http://www.harley-davidson.com/wcm/Content/Pages/2010_Motorcycles/2010_motorcycles.jsp?locale=en_GB&bmLocale=en_GB#/model/xr1200x but for some reason its only for sale in Britain. And before you say we have the XR1200 I rode that bike and you know what it needs? Well for starters it needs to lose about 150 lbs to make it competitive and on top of that it needs to lose about 2000$ in price for me to even think about it.
Like I said I like Harley's my Father has a 2007 heritage soft tail and my mother just bought a 883 2 months ago. But when it comes to young buyers Harley just doesn't get it. Looks like its gonna be a toss up between the KTM 690 Duke or the Aprilia Shiver when I get back to the states.
Its a legit question Carmudge no trolling I just want some honest answers and some heartfelt responses. I really would like a H-D i like the XR1200x but it just goes to show you H-D couldl't care less what younger riders want. And I wanted a Buell I would buy one but lets face they may hae awesome engineering but they look god awful.

Ok, my dad and i were searching through harley davidson site and he found a motorcyle he is like way crazy for here it is:

I dont know how they would look on me but they look pretty cool on them.
